Foundation:2010Goals

Building on Mozilla's project-wide 2010-goals discussion, we've narrowed in on a number of goals that might guide the work of the Foundation. These are:
- More people understand and embrace the principles that underpin Mozilla.
- Communities continue to expand and provide means for individual development.
- Thought leadership expands to include things such as the open web, hybrid social enterprises, organizational sustainability, shared decision-making, individual control, and portability in Internet life.
- Innovations emerge from the Mozilla world.
The first goal was developed by the Foundation team. It could become the core of what the Foundation is doing over the next few years. The other three were drawn from the existing list of proposed Mozilla 2010 goals. The Foundation won't be directly involved in goals around data, mobile and Firefox mindshare, but will do work that makes links between products and Mozilla principles.
It's important to emphasize that these are only proposed goals at this stage. They will be pulled into the first Vision and Roadmap strawman discussion in December. It's likely they will evolve from there.
