Mozillians/Training Modules

Summary

There are few to no organized training outlets and channels for new contributors to gain experience and learn how to become a more deeply engaged within sub-communities. The reasons for this problem area are varied, but common factor is the lack of resources available to mentor contributors. The Training Modules application will offer roadmaps and tutorials (powered by video) to instruct new contributors to learn how to do some basic and necessary tasks within sub-communities such as AMO, SUMO, QA, etc. As roadmaps and tutorials are completed, levels and badges will be displayed onto Phonebook profiles detailing their accomplishments and allowing community leaders to distribute tasks appropriately.

Goals

1. Increase basic and necessary sub-community experience for new contributors.
2. Increase the number of trained contributors within Mozilla.
3. Develop our community's overall institutional knowledge.

1. Create an educational institution
2. Develop an internal training program for employees
