This session will cover goals and possible directions for social functionality in Firefox, provide an understanding of the architecture and introduce developers to the building blocks they can use to create a SocialAPI provider.

SocialAPI will be one of the drivers for increasing Firefox Desktop adoption.  Developer awareness and community involvement are important to helping SocialAPI be successful.

Awareness and understanding of the SocialAPI, where it's going and how to use it, as well as increasing community involvement and feedback.  People wishing to integrate with the SocialAPI will come out with an understanding of the overall architecture and the building blocks needed to build their own provider.
