== Usage of shortened URLs in sign post  ==
Hi,
Short URLs are widely used by spammers to hide the destination URL and to rope in people to click the links. So few people might be sceptical to click on shortened urls. Though we know that mzl.la redirects only to *.mozilla.org/*, not everyone is aware of it.
Besides there is no point in shortening the hyper-links as twitter uses it own url shortener and it uses 14 chars no matter what we do. Even a very short url like hi.in used 14 chars space in twitter, so does a very lengthy url.
If we use the URLs in expanded form, it will at least show the domain name in the tweet.
