The Question

What can Mozilla do with our products and our product development processes to move the Internet toward our vision of an open, decentralized, participatory place^(*) in the next two years?

Process

This collection of wiki pages will be used to:

• archive the discussions that the broad Mozilla community has around this question
• provide a condensed, easy-to-follow abstract of the process
• collect information on what processes foster effective 2010 Goals discussions (for example: a set of suggestions for how to start the discussion, what kinds of questions get broad answers, which questions get narrow answers, etc.)

The actual discussions will happen in the usual channels used by the various Mozilla communities for discussing issues like the 2010 Goals.¹

A one-line summary of the current state of affairs. Use a template to ensure that we can easily drop the status message into several locations.

Link to a digest of the various 2010 discussions, supported by a timeline, context links, etc.

Goals

In my last post I suggested we develop a set of goals to answer this question. Here’s my proposal. Comments, suggestions, additions, deletions, concerns, even wholesale restructuring welcome!
