On March 31, 2016, Mozilla shut down gear.mozilla.org. With that closure, there is no longer a way for Mozilla enthusiasts to purchase gear.

Any Mozillian can file a bug to request gear to recognize another Mozillian's efforts, as long as it fits within the approved use guidelines. Paid Mozilla staff can also request gear for other purposes (i.e. events, campaigns) through this bug. <br>


In October, the People Team will be launching the On-Boarding program at Mozilla. As part of this program, individuals will be given directions on how to obtain the On-boarding package from the Gear Store. This package will include the *essential* Mozilla Gear that will help them get started! Look for more info on this topic from the People Team soon. For any questions, please email onboarding@mozilla.com.
Mozilla Reps should continue to rely on their current, well-established method for [https://wiki.mozilla.org/ReMo/Tools_and_Resources ordering gear] for events and projects. Teams most likely did '''not''' budget for gear. However, gear usage as well as any shipping and customs/duties/taxes associated with those requests are being charged back to each team on a quarterly basis. Please check in with your HRBP if you have questions on that process.


During Phase I, gear will be available for such scenarios as recognition and reward, events and team morale. If you would like to purchase t-shirts for personal use (or to give out to friends!), please continue to do so through the Mozilla Foundation.

At this time, the Mozilla Foundation has decided to focus its gear around its Webmaker program and its own system, and won't be using this site.  If you have any questions about gear, please contact Michelle Thorne and michelle at mozillafoundation dot org.

Great news! - each team now has assigned to them an extra bit of money to help this year with the cost of gear. These budgets have been assigned to each team based on the number of paid-staff and volunteers on their team. It doesn't sound like fun (or at least to some), but we need be able to track what we spend, when we go over budget, and have the flexibility to get more if needed.
