Operational Guidelines

== MozLondon Events Space ==

Now that you have the general guidelines for using our Spaces, there is information you should have specific to the Space you are visting. Below you'll find additional information (and some policy) while visiting our London Space.
The [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/contact/spaces/london/ MozLondon events space] is a free-to-use venue in central London for events that align with the [https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/mission/ Mozilla mission], covering topics like web development, open source software, web learning, digital literacy and more. Example of past events in the space include:
* London pyladies meetup
* London HTML5 games developers meetup
* Digital Citizenship Workshops
* NHS Digital Badges

If you are attending a meeting while in London, you'll need to check in with the front desk and coordinate supplies with your Mozilla host. If you are hosting an event while in London, WPR will be involved and in some cases will need to approve your event.
For more detail on the type of events we can host, see the [https://wiki.mozilla.org/People:MozSpaces_Guidelines MozSpaces Guildelines].

You'll know when a “meeting” becomes an “event” when the following conditions apply:
=== Facilities ===

* You require any sort of catering (other than what might be available in the kitchens)
The London space has the following facilities:
* You require supplies (other than the one dry erase marker already in the room)
* Main space capacity of around 40 for talks and about 30 with tables
* Your meeting is scheduled after London office hours
* AV system for presenting slides
* Your meeting is large enough, even if it’s just Mozillians, to essentially “take over” some aspect of the space (leading to a potentially disruptive environment). In this case, that event should be scheduled outside of business hours.
* Ability to record and/or live-stream events (requires approval and a trained host)
* You’re meeting included more than a few non-Mozillians and/or is related to another open source project or community not directly related to Mozilla.
* Option to arrange drinks and snacks for the event (at extra cost)

How to Request Use of Mozilla Space and/or WPR Support For Your Event

=== Availability ===

* If you are a paid-staff member, please use Service Now to request support for your event.
In order to enquire about availability email [mailto:london-events@mozilla.org london-events@mozilla.org].
* If you are a volunteer, please submit your request via this Request Form.
* Requests for Brown Bags or Air Mozilla [link] should go through a specific Service Now request and do not require WRP involvement.

To be sure your event has the impact you intend (and nobody goes hungry), WRP needs at least one-week (5 business days) lead-time to approve and coordinate requests.
=== Hosts ===

Each event requires a Mozilla employee ad the local host to act as a point of contact before the event and host for the duration of the event. Note that hosting events is a voluntary activity and availability is not guaranteed. Once your event is confirmed, the host will be in contact with more details of the procedure for hosting an event, and the requirements we have before the event starts, e.g. a list of names of all attendees.
