Download Firefox Beta
Install Firefox Beta if you want to help us test the next version of Firefox for Android.
Firefox Beta contains new features and changes that are ready for widespread testing before we include them in the next official Firefox release.  You can install both Firefox and Firefox Beta at the same time if you want to use both versions.
Download instructions:
# Check the system requirements below to see if Firefox Beta is compatible with your Android device.
# Install Firefox Beta from the Android Market web site.
(Or if you have a compatible device without access to the Android Market, you can download the Firefox Beta directly from our FTP server. You will need to keep Firefox Beta updated yourself if you do not install it through the Android Market.)
Firefox Beta is also available for other platforms!  Go to firefox.com/channel to learn more and download Firefox Beta for your computer.

Download Aurora
If you want to test or preview Firefox 11, you can download a build from the Aurora channel.  If you want to, you can install Aurora alongside the official released version of Firefox, and use both on the same device.
The Aurora channel provides an early preview of the next Firefox Beta release.  Although Aurora is more stable than our nightly development builds, it is not yet fully tested and is not the same quality as official beta or release versions.  Aurora will offer to update itself automatically about once a day, as we make improvements available.
See the ReadMe below about information regarding the new Native builds available on the Aurora channel.
Download instructions:
# Check the system requirements below to see if Aurora is compatible with your Android device.
# Download Aurora directly onto your Android device by scanning the barcode to the right, or by entering the URL in your device's web browser.
# Open the "apk" file when it finishes downloading.
Download location:
* Short URL: http://bit.ly/fennecaurora11
* Full URL: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora-android/fennec-11.0a2.multi.android-arm.apk

Download Nightly
If you are actively developing or testing Firefox features that are not yet released to the Aurora or Beta channels, you can download a Nightly build. You may install and use Nightly alongside builds from other channels (Firefox, Beta, Aurora).
The nightly channel is a snapshot of our very latest development work, before it is ready for widespread testing. This is our least  stable  update channel, and is not recommended for most users. Nightly builds provide an early preview of work that will eventually be included  in  Firefox 12 or later. Nightly will offer to update itself automatically about once a day with the latest changes from our developers.
See the ReadMe below about information regarding the new Native builds available on the Nightly channel.
Download instructions:
# Check the system requirements below to see if Nightly is compatible with your Android device.
# Download the nightly build directly onto your Android device by scanning the barcode to the right, or by entering the URL in your device's web browser.
# Open the "apk" file when it finishes downloading.
Download location:
* Short URL: http://bit.ly/nightly12
* Full URL: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-central-android/fennec-12.0a1.multi.android-arm.apk

ReadMe: Native UI Builds
We have now merged our rewrite for the Firefox UI using the native Android toolkit, to our nightly and aurora channels.
Fennec Native uses the same storage for bookmarks and history (but not for passwords) as the default Android browser (and some other 3rd party Android browsers). If you have chosen to backup application data on your device, this bookmark and history data may be backed up to Google's servers. This is a change from previous versions of Fennec, where data was stored internally to Fennec and only synced off device if the user chose to use Mozilla Sync.
Tablet Users
Firefox 10 for mobile which includes UI designed specifically for tablets, is available on the Beta Channel.
You can also help us test upcoming versions of the tablet UI on the Aurora or Nightly channels by downloading one of these packages onto your Android tablet:
* Aurora 11.0a2 tablet version
* Nightly 12.0a1 tablet version
<font color=red>Note:</font> Automatic updates for the Aurora and Nightly tablet builds are not yet working -- they will update to the non-tablet version instead (712678).  Until this is fixed, you will need to update these tablet versions manually.  Or you can use Firefox Beta from the Android Market, which will auto-update correctly.

ARMv6 (experimental)
<font color=red>Sorry, the experimental ARMv6 builds are no longer available.  They contained bugs that caused them to crash immediately, so they were no longer useful for testing.</font>
While we'd like Firefox to run on as many phones as possible, we are focusing first on devices that can run current versions of Firefox with acceptable performance.  As we improve Firefox's speed and memory use, it might become possible for us to support ARMv6 phones in the future, but we are not actively working on it now.
