Planning for www.mozilla.org/support/ and all its sub-content.
The Plan
www.mozilla.org is a place for learning about the Mozilla project, not a place to find support for Mozilla products. Product support should be found on each product website. So the plan for www.mozilla.org/support is to turn it into a portal, sectioning it by product with each product having one link it's corresponding support site.
Directory content
Folders
/firefox/ - can be deleted bug 467938/thunderbird/ - can be deleted bug 573283
Files
inproduct.html - is a backup page for sumo (can be removed) bug 500942consulting.html - should be removed bug 467937NOMENU - removedsupport.css - /thunderbird/ probably still uses it. Will delete it, when we delete the thunderbird directory.
Portal
(Redoing support index.html bug 353478)
Products we should link to:
- Firefox
- Thunderbird
- SeaMonkey
- Camino
- Sunbird & Lightning
- Bugzilla
For products not listed, we will have an "Other" option which will point to another page, which will list:
- Other Applications and Distributions Forum hosted by Mozillazine
- "mozilla.support.other" newsgroup/mailing list/Google Group
- #mozillazine channel on IRC
