The Boulders

  • Supporting Releng with Android Automation Rollout - ctalbert, bmoss, jmaher
    • TP4 poor man automation coming along, should have something running by the end of the day
    • Landed finkle's improvements to pageloader/manifests
    • Trying to get releng to update systems with mfinkles changes
  • War on Orange - jgriffin, mcote, jmaher, harth
    • Updated server side scripts to use the pulse packages
    • Pulse library will be checked in to a repo at hg.mozilla/org/automation
    • ES conversion getting closer, made a lot of progress converting the UI last week, was interrupted by sudden talos firefight.
    • Jgriffin will document the brasstacks setup and configuration for ES this week

    • Meeting with releng tomorrow, not much to do until then
    • Last week managed to make the tests a bit more stable, but still a few issues probably related to the window size.
    • Helping the Firebug team look into taking over the test-bot

    • Upgraded to couch 1.0.2, unfortunately it's not solving our problems
    • Have development and server systems set up with django/mysql, working on changing code to use that system this week
  • Fennec Profile Tool - mcote
    • mcote's blog finally added to planet!
    • Will write up a post about the tool
    • Tested with new versions of devicemanager/agent, found a bug, fixed by bmoss--works fine now
    • Also start working on proper packaging (pypi)
  • Profile Manager - jgriffin
    • Spent last week fixing user-reported bugs, almost have them all resolved
    • Reaching out to the SUMO folks this week to talk about how they want to go about updating their documentation.
  • Helping JS team with JIT crashes - ted
    • Did some work with dvander on a tool to better categorize JIT crashes, going to have metrics get a day's worth of minidumps to run it on bug 627111
    • Landed bug 599301 to fix getting JIT code memory in minidumps on older windows versions (Windows XP)
