Checklist
The following is a list of things to be done to prepare for your event. These should all be done at least a week before the event takes place.
1. Create an event page on QMO. You should see the event on the QMO front page.
2. Post a message to the mailing lists. At a bare minimum, you should post to dev-quality and dev-apps-firefox. Some tips for composing your message are listed below.
3. Verify cross posting of the event on planet and facebook. Planet usually picks up the post after 30 minutes; Facebook after a day.
4. Create a wiki page for the event using the template. Create the page at https://wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Test_Days/YYYYMMDD.
5. Tweet a link to the QMO event page using the MozillaQA twitter account. The message should say something like come help us make Firefox better! <bit.ly_link>.
6. Send an email to qa@mozilla.org asking for people to sign up as Moderators and Contributors. Be sure to link to the sign up section of your event wiki page.

Event Page
The following is a list of things to include on your event page.
- Title should clearly and concisely spell out the activity
- Open with some context to why the event is needed
- Provide a call to action: We need your help with <some activity>
- Emphasize a need for the help and that contributions make Firefox better
- Indicate how the specific activity improves the quality of Firefox
- List tasks to be performed during the event; include links to any bugs and tests you want the testers to help with
- Provide a link to the builds
- Provide a link to the IRC channel
- End with an emphasis that people from all walks of life and experience can contribute; that we will be there to help and teach
- Set the event date and time
- Set the category to Events, QMO News, Syndicated and the team the event is specific to
- Set a tag of "mozilla" and "qa"
- Be sure to save draft and preview before publishing
