Overview
MozCamps are regional events that play an important role in training up active contributors and community leaders. They are part of an event ladder to engage, train and reward would-be to core contributors culminating with the Mozilla Summit serving as Mozilla's global leadership summit.
MozCamp Europe 2011 will take place in Berlin, Germany from November 12th to November 13th, 2011.
The event will bring together Mozilla staff and lead Mozilla contributors from all areas of the project for two full days of presentations, discussions, brainstorms, work sprints, hackfest and of course, a little bit of fun :)
While the main focus is on community leaders and active contributors, MozCamps also aim to bring up future leaders, those Mozilla contributors who have been particularly active in the past 6 months and represent the next generation of Mozilla leadership in the community.
On Friday, 11 November 2011, a very informal welcome event will take place from 5pm to 9pm, so as to make sure everyone gets to know each other a bit before the intense weekend begins. (More details to come)
MozCamp EU 2011 in Berlin
This MozCamp will be exceptional for all of us. Mozilla project is growing faster than ever, the competitive landscape is evolving very fast and this MozCamp gives us an opportunity to meet together and synchronize our vision and activities. It's going to be transcendental event as we'll be discussing our main projects that are powering Mozilla project today, and the light beacons of what's coming for the future, but the main focus will be put on us as a community, the diversified, global and local groups that through Mozilla shape the Web world for the benefit of the user.
We want to focus on the way people interact with the project and with each other, on personal and community growth and build the foundation for the Mozilla project in Europe for the next years to come.
