- HW & SW decoding with playback is working on the following GB devices as of Fx20:
- HTC Desire HD, HTC EVO, Samsung Galaxy Y, Xperia Ion
- Honeycomb Support
- HW & SW decoding with playback also works on the Samsung Galaxy Tab on HC
- SW decoding with playback is working on the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Samsung Galaxy Note; we should test SW decoding on other Samsung GB devices
- HW decoding works on the S2 but playback is still in progress: bug 820236
- Froyo
- SW and HW decoding has landed in Fx20. HW decoding and was tested on LG-P970 running Android 2.2.2, see: bug 821160 but we need someone to test a device that has SW decoding support
- Next Steps
- We need to triage the black list and target devices we want to optimize for and get off of the black list
- We need to go through the backlog of HW and SW tagged bugs and also triage any new bugs and tag accordingly
