This is a project overview for the Apps Engineering team.
Current Projects
- Web Components and Templates (Arron, Potch, lzhang)
- X-tags -- web component polyfill and component framework
- Brick -- UI components for apps
- mortar -- templates for building apps
- Platform intergration (Piotr, James)
- PhoneGap / Apache Cordova integration -- cross-platform apps development framework
- Kitchen Sink app -- test tool for cross-platform API support
- Speakeasy -- given a "native" app package, determine if it is a wrapped HTML5 app or a "native" app.
- Showcase Apps (Sole, Jen, tofumatt, et al)
- RTCamera -- a WebRTC / WebGL camera app that generates animated gifs
- EstroWhen -- a menstrual calendar built with app components
- Social media partner app -- a location-based social media client app
- Podcasts -- a podcast client for Firefox OS
- Webfighter -- a canvas-based game (and in-app payments demo)
- Mozilla Summit 2013 apps (firehug, etc. -- shared with Partner Engineering)
- Cross-functional projects
- Search Experiments (Jen, w/Labs)
- Nunjucks (jlongster) -- JS template engine
