The Web Literacy Map outlines the key skills that help learners get better at reading, writing and participating on the web, and Webmaker's user-generated content provides a key illustration of these literacies in action.

We want Webmaker users to know that featured content evolves each quarter based on submissions and curation leadership from the community. Below are our plans to get this process started.

Curation Process

For each new competency page that goes live on Webmaker site,

1. New page is published with CTA to "Submit/Curate"
2. Community Literacies blog post (see Kat's plans) is published on Webmaker site for that competency, surfacing key content and user stories.
3. "Submit your own resource!" and "Curate with us!" CTAs are shared widely on Discourse, Training, website and blog.
4. Community curation sprints (see Kat's plans) are held once a quarter. Invited members of Webmaker community attend as representatives, and site content is refreshed through a public peer-review process.
5. First community curation sprint in mid July, potentially at Vancouver Hive, with future sprints held at other Hive labs.
