We have involved the community on this project so far (e.g. meetings, [https://blog.mozilla.org/webdev/2014/04/02/enabling-communities-iterating-on-the-get-involved-page/ blogs], etherpads, surveys, mailing lists, card sorting, testing our early prototypes and, a workshop at MozCamp India) and will continue to do so. Please check back on this wiki page for updates.

= Design Progress =
Thanks to community feedback on our early prototypes and results from user testing, we’re moving forward with our designs. As you take a look at the mock-ups, keep the following points in mind:
* The following designs are still in progress and we will continue to iterate on them over the next few weeks and even after the site is live, to make sure this is the best introduction to volunteering with Mozilla.
* The primary audience for this experience are potential Mozillians (not current Mozillians like you). This audience may not yet know how they want to get involved or why it is important to volunteer at Mozilla.
* Our primary goal for the Get Involved experience is for potential contributors to get inspired to make their first step towards contributing with the Mozilla community.

Our progress is thanks to the tons of community feedback we received by posting to the blog, mailing lists, sharing with reps to share with their community, and to everyone who attended the public Monday project call a few weeks ago.

Take a look at the following mock-ups and if you have time, please answer a few questions for us in the following form.

Community Involvement

Overview

The Get Involved page is the first page most people see when they want to become a contributor at Mozilla. It is important that this page be reflective of the people in our community. In order to do that we have opened up the design process to incorporate your feedback. Mozilla is not just one voice and the way we build our products, especially the Get Involved page, needs to reflect that.

We have involved the community on this project so far (e.g. meetings, blogs, etherpads, surveys (2), mailing lists, card sorting, testing our early prototypes and, a workshop at MozCamp India) and will continue to do so. Please check back on this wiki page for updates.

Team Info & Project Specs

The www.mozilla.org team is working closely with the Community Building and Community Engagement teams to build a new version of the Get Involved page to better support Mozilla’s “Enable Communites that Have Impact” goal.
