Firefox 3.6.10 Test Plan

Description of Release

This is a chemspill security release for bug 594699 and bug 590978.

Specific Plan for 3.6.10

We need to verify the two bug fixes for this chemspill as much as possible and then go through the usual testing for a maintenance release: smoketests, basic functional tests, and updates checks.

Special Update Testing

As part of the verification for bug 590978, we need to do the following as Releng is making two update paths.

  • Install 3.6.8, install Personas Plus 1.6 (not on AMO, might have to get it from the team), update to 3.6.10, notice PP 1.6 is disabled and you are on the new FF version
    • Windows XP: PASS - Last installed persona stays in place though.
    • OS X 10.6: PASS - Last installed persona stays in place though.
    • Windows 7: PASS - Last installed persona stays in place though.
    • Ubuntu: PASS
