|Feature open issues and risks=- What features should be included in the first, second, and third phase?
- Can screen sharing and co-browsing easily hook into the UI?
- How can we best protect user privacy?
- How is this related to in-browser chat?
- Could we have browser-owned buttons that could be added to the page (like "Call" and "End") that would both initiate the call and enable cameras/mics to prevent spoofing and keep user experience branding similar?
|Feature overview=Firefox needs to allow users to communicate using their microphone and webcam.  These features are vital for complex online interaction, and providing the tools for developers to easily use them will improve their capability and the experience of their users.  Just as Firefox provides controls for open video, we should provide the means for users to share their webcam and microphone feed with sites and with other uses.  It is especially important to add this functionality to Firefox as in-browser chat is being developed concurrently.
|Feature users and use cases=- Allowing a website to take a photo of a user for an avatar
- Feeding webcam footage to a site for video recording and editing
- Video conferencing
- Chatting to other users while playing a cooperative game
|Feature dependencies=- In-browser chat
