Purpose of the Goal
We are initiating a reward and recognition program in order to encourage activity, keep the community engaged and onboard new contributors
Plan
This needs to be split into several sub-goals
1. Create an overview of the support community:
- AOA
- Help Forum
- Live Chat
- interview community members to understand what incentives are working for them
2. Set-up a clear level system, decide the metrics by which contributor can move to next level and incentives that come with each level
- Set-up recognition badges for good contributions
- Create user titles and profiles
3. Create a separate program for retaining contributors and converting them into regular ones (goal for Q2)
4. Incentives that can be applied immediately
- initiate contributor interviews on the blog
- initiate regular phone calls with the community
- create monthly awards: most productive newcomer, most enthusiastic contributor
- send personalized cards for special events (e.g birthdays)
- celebrate milestones and congratulate the community
- organize SUMO Oscars
