How To


Impact statement: describes the overall change we want to see in the world.

  • Who is impacted?
  • What is the change for them, and the world?
  • One statement for Learning Networks, and one for Advocacy.


Impact milestones: describe a specific measurable change that is a step towards the impact statement.

  • A win we can map a path to in 6-24 months
  • Each working group will have several milestones
  • Aim for: Memorable, measurable, motivational, manageable (4Ms)
  • Aim for: 8 words or less (it will likely start longer, but aim for this)
  • Also see SMART goals for a useful framework

   Personal = Fellows become community leaders, joining a network of practitioners across key communities
