| |
| Go to http://hg.toolness.com/ubiquity-firefox/summary and download the latest source in your preferred format (zip/bz2/gz). Extract the contents into any folder on your computer. Then, navigate to your Firefox [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder profile folder] and then to the "extensions" folder. Create a new text file called "ubiquity@labs.mozilla.com" with a single line - the path to your ubiquity folder (which is NOT the topmost in your extracted folder). So, if you downloaded to /Users/macbook/Stuff/ubiquitys/, your extracted folder will probably be called ubiquity-firefox. So, your text file should actually contain "/Users/macbook/Stuff/ubiquitys/ubiquity-firefox/ubiquity". Once you have this text file in your profile folder, you can restart Firefox and you'll be using the source version!
