A '''True North''' provides a tangible, actionable bridge between our collective long-term, enduring core beliefs as laid out in the Mission, Vision, and Manifesto and our immediate product strategy.

This project was completed in 2017.

True Norths can take a few different forms - they can be oriented around one or more of:
* Goal or outcome: Some end-state we want to see in the world
* Role: The function we want to serve in carrying out our Mission
* Domain: A specific topic

True North statements, when completed, will generally include a high-level understanding of the activities that should be done:
* Build: End-to-end product / program offerings that are taken to market
* Catalyze: Spark others to action (e.g., through demos, reference architectures) by working on technologies, but not as full-blown offerings
* Advocate: Issues to use the full Mozilla voice to push for

There are 2 phases to this work:
* Phase 1 (Now through mid-April): Start with a wide aperture, consolidate to ~10 ideas, then narrow to a shortlist of ~4 candidates
* Phase 2 (Mid-April through mid-June): Select one True North
