Summary Slides with December 08 update (pdf)

The Opportunity

There is an opportunity to increase the number of active Firefox users by:

  • Making that people who choose to download Firefox (intentionally click on the download button) successfully download and install Firefox
  • Increasing engagement of new users to they continue choosing to use Firefox in subsequent browsing sessions

Recommendations (Dec 08)

  1. Remove barriers to successful download and installation
  2. Make availability of support top-of-mind for users
  3. Help new users quickly become power users of Firefox
  4. Engage the Mozilla community to help with engagement and retention
  5. Facilitate the transition from other browsers
  6. Address site incompatibility issues (perceived and real)
