There is currently no visual clue in the Find Bar wether you're doing:

  1. Regular find: Ctrl/Cmd+F
  2. Find as you type text: /
  3. Find as you type link: ‘

A simple

  1. 'Find:'
  2. 'Find text:'
  3. 'Find link:'

would do the trick.

When searching a busy page it's sometimes difficult to locate the highlighted text. An option to have the highlighting blink or pulse would allow the motion detecting parts of the eye help locate the highlighted text. Ideally you'd be able to click a small blink button next to the 'find' box to turn this behavior on or off.
