May I finally add my screenshot visualizing ''some'' of your proposals already below? http://home.arcor.de/david-peters/TB.png | May I finally add my screenshot visualizing ''some'' of your proposals already below? http://home.arcor.de/david-peters/TB.png
== Support for mailing lists from LDAP ==
We would like Thunderbird to be among the mail applications which use our LDAP server with our organization's phone book. Other clients being used include Eudora and Outlook.
Entries for individuals work fine but we can't figure out how to make mailing lists work in Thunderbird. We would like a "groupOfUniqueNames" (or analogous LDAP object) to be recognized by TBird as a mailing list and for it to expand to the list of mail attribute of the objects in the list. Also, these emails need to be used when email is addressed to the selected LDAP group.
Is this possible? If so, how? If not, can it be done or is it planned? |
