Badging contribution

Badges.jpg

Webmaker badges are designed to recognise contribution from the community in Mozilla's mission in creating a generation of webmakers. Initially we will use the Open Badges Infrastructure (OBI) to enable those participating in our training to earn badges that recognise their enthusiasm, participation and contribution.

Once the Webmaker badges are operational we will turn our attention to Web Literacy badges, credentialing mentors who demonstrate the the competencies and skills identified in the Web Literacy Map. They will use our exemplar Teaching Kits to scale our impact as a community and reach our goal of 10,000 contributors by the end of 2014.
