Club Lead Training
Why we're doing a Training?
- Find out which Firefox Clubs are active (and which are no longer active and should be removed from the wiki)
- Prepare and strengthen Club Leads for how to expand and make their Club thrive in 2014
- Increase Club Lead understanding of the program as well as their ability to be leaders within the club (and community)
- Create a sustainable way in which Club Leads receive training that empowers each Club to be a success
Who should do the Training?
The training should be completed by all of the current Firefox Club Leads. We will be inviting individuals to do the training if they are listed as a Club Lead in our Firefox Club Directory.
Firefox Student Ambassadors who are not Club Leads are welcome to review the training documents but do Not need to complete the survey.
When is the training?
The survey will re-open on March 1, 2014
Where is the Training?
The training will take place on-line - no need to travel in order to take part :)
How to Complete the Training
You can complete the training by following these two steps:
- 1. Review the Club Lead Training slides
- 2. Complete this survey
- 3. You will be awarded a Club Lead Open Badge at the beginning of the month following the training to confirm that you have completed the training (For example, if you complete the training in March, you will receive the badge on the 1st day of April)

Why should I do the training?
If you successfully complete the training, you will (as the Club Lead), receive a Club Lead Open Badge and access to additional resources for your Club from the program (we're still working out the exact details).
Due to the large number of those who missed our first training, we will be hosting another starting on March 1, 2014. If you missed the first training, your wiki page will not be deleted.
How is this Sustainable?
After January 31st, we will remove the ability for just anyone to create a Firefox Club.
Moving forward, we will create a process in which all individuals interested in creating Firefox Clubs must first complete the training before being given access to starting a Club at their school (and creating a wiki for their club).
In addition, once a Firefox Club Lead's term has been completed, the new Lead will be asked to complete this training before receiving their Open Badge and assuming their new role.
