| Welcome to the Mozilla legal team's contributor page, where you can find out how to get involved. Here you can find the various different roles that contributors can fill for the legal team, as well as some past projects to get a sense of how we operate.

| Contributors are crucial to Mozilla's mission. Due to the sometimes sensitive and complicated nature of legal affairs, it may seem difficult to contribute to Mozilla through the legal team. However, we have a system to match potential contributors with projects that match their skills and commitment level — you don't have to be a lawyer to help out the legal team!

| Our team often needs to do research into various legal topics. If you are a student, experienced researcher, or just someone looking to contribute their time, this could be a great way to contribute and learn something cool in the process.

| = Translators =
| |
| Mozilla is a global organization that is committed to serving as many communities as possible. However, this commitment requires a lot of work translating all of our documents, websites, and other materials.

| One great example is the Mozilla localization community — a group of volunteers worldwide that translate Mozilla products into their local languages. See [[L10n:Home_Page|here]] for more info.

| |
| Localization contributors help the legal team by reading translations of legal documents by foreign lawyers and agencies. By reviewing these documents in their local languages, they provide an additional check that our legal team can't. They point out when a translation doesn't make sense in the local language, if there is an error, or if something is confusing and could be clarified. Reviews are often done in the open in github or Bugzilla.

| Our team often has projects that require technical expertise to execute — web development, UX design, etc. We are currently in the process of redesigning the legal page, so there are plenty of opportunities to contribute.
