Firefox's 10 Year Anniversary
- We are kicking things off with a 33.1 release, shipping on Monday, 11/10 @ 6AM Pacific Time!
Get Involved!!
Our project sponsors are Chris Beard & Johnathan Nightingale. Eric Petitt is leading the charge in Marketing. Start by joining #decade and say "hello". We also have a daily standup in the Capella conference room -- https://air.mozilla.org/firefox-renewal-daily-stand-up/ (because we talk about confidential, partner-related things, these meetings are open to staff and volunteers who are members of the NDA group on mozillians.org). Request access for: https://fxdecade.etherpad.mozilla.org/Daily.
See a full list of contacts and what they contribute, here.
Celebrations & Community Events
On November 10th we will rally all Mozillians - paid staffers, volunteer community members, Facebook Fans, EVERYONE to tell the world that Firefox is the only independent choice and that you have made that choice.
On November 10th lets let as many people as possible know about Firefox on social. Its easy to get involved!
Two ways -- Offline & Online:
Offline Activities
We want you to do the following:
- Put on a Firefox t-shirt, raise your Fox ears or wear blue and orange
- Pick a landmark in your city
- Rally your friends & family
- Take a photo
- Share it using #ChooseIndependent & #fx10
If you cannot take a picture that’s ok. We still want your help.
- Find a photo of an iconic landmark (make sure you own the rights to that photo)
- Crop yourself into the photo
- Share it using #ChooseIndependent & #fx10

Online Activities
We're driving Mozillians and the public to a simple landing page where they can find out how to get involved in the Fx10 campaign. The page will be launched on October 27, updated on November 3rd, and again on November 10th.
This page will give people a few ideas of how they can participate and it will have content that they can use to help light a fire.
Firefox Bus
On November 9th or 10th, Fx10 Buses in India, Germany, Brazil, and US will head out to iconic locations to take photos, create buzz, and help us kick-start the goal of getting 10,000+ #Fx10 photos around the world.
If you live in one of these cities check back to find out the itinerary, put on your Firefox gear and jump on the bus.
We will be celebrating in Mountain View and many other locations throughout the world on Monday, November 10th. Check back to read more about the festivities, soon!
