If you are adding a domain, note that the old certificates will not be automatically revoked, so you have all the time in the world to upgrade the various services.  However, if you are removing a domain, the old certificate will soon be revoked (I believe you will get timing information from digicert), so you will need to deploy the updated certificate within that timeframe.
