Fred will look at the sm-cms01 server from last summer. Plan to test it to see how AMO.

Gandalf is comparing LDAP code from last summer versus the LDAP code he wrote for the Django application for l10n dashboard's signoff app.

Goal discussion:

  1. SUMO and AMO support
  2. Q3 day-long discussion
  3. New ideas from Morgamic:
    • Can we get mobile participation in translation? Offering strings of *whatever app* to end-users for translation
    • Research Firefox in-product tool to help translate (like and add-on)
    • Research client applications for HTML translation
    • Crowd-sourcing translation of some projects
    • Keep localization control, giving existing localizers a chance delegate which projects they want to "own" and which ones they want to offer for crowd-sourcing

For research questions, let's blog and set up a wiki

    • Get multiple options and possible solutions for the problem
    • Pretty fleshed out wiki page on the problems

To-do's from the meeting:

  1. Gandalf examines LDAP code and reconciles any differences with LDAP and then local accounts
  2. Fred and Jeremy will meet to discuss
  3. Sethb set up 2 goals: Get online translation tool, AMO and SUMO setup; research and plan roadmap for l10n tools
