Summary
Bring together people and existing content for a remixing fest. Create new content based on exiting materials, give it your organizational spin or a new lens, and bring it back into the open space
What do you want to achieve?
• Find ways OER can be used Demonstrate different applications for comparison and evaluation • Brainstorm on what would be the ‘perfect’ picture for content management system and OER authoring tool, and derivative tracking system. Discuss how that can be done. • Come up with guideline for precise recommendation for users with different needs
Who should come? How many? For how long?
Educators, learners, & anyone interested in using OER. Stay for as long as you can.
What will they do when they get there?
- If you are an educator, put together OER material to remix and repurpose for your classroom. Tell us what kind of exercises you will have or how you will deliver the contents effectively to your students. Small gifts for teachers with brilliant methods.
- If you are a self learner, put together a course that you would like to study by yourself or in a study group.
- Do you have a favorite OCW course? If you happen to speak a different language than the one used in an OCW course, search for supplementary materials in your language.
- Have you used OCW/OER in your course? Tell us how you did it and how you found the experience to be.
