Drumbeat Science Fair: MACBA Atrium, Nov 3, 9pm - sign up before Oct 22

The Drumbeat Festival will hold a Science Fair on opening night. The idea: get a taste of what your fellow festival-goers are doing and seek out collaborators for the next two days.

This will be your first chance to get the scope of the Festival -- research, prototypes, demos, crazy ideas, experiments, trials, tests, investigations, studies, whatever -- in a casual setting with some of the smartest people working on open education on the web today.

The Science Fair is scheduled on Wednesday, November 3 from 8:30pm – 11pm. It will take place as part of the opening reception, highlighted by a brief keynote by Creative Commons CEO Joi Ito.

Participants can wander around the exhibits, chat with presenters, watch demos, ask questions, and generally just dive in and talk about stuff. We'll have light snacks and cocktails ... and prizes for participants who interact with the most exhibits.

FYI, we've done this before. Check out these Mozilla Summit Science Fair pictures to get a sense of how awesome it will be.

Who's presenting?

Festival organizers have selected 28 fabulous Science Fair exhibitions out of 45 proposals submitted. We can't wait to see them all!
