Revision as of 01:52, 8 March 2011

Current options for managing add-ons installed by third parties and system administrators are limited. We allow disabling but not uninstalling. We also currently do not provide adequate warning to users that new third-party provided add-ons have been installed.

  • Module owner: Mossop
  • Available reviewers: Mossop, Unfocused, rs

Status

Goals

  • Make users aware when new add-ons have been installed that they may not know about
    • Users should be able to opt out of such add-ons before the add-on's code haa a chance to run
  • Allow uninstalling third party add-ons in some way
    • Consider how to allow "reinstalling"
