Proposal

Focus Area: Initially QA, with other communities to be considered later.
Referred by: Bugzilla Team/Mozilla IT
Other research or references: Work with Justing in the IT Team
Need: Hardware
Specific Request: A new landfill server
Cost: $7,000
Reason this empowers the community: Offers a resource where multiple Mozilla contributors receive vastly upgraded service to work on Bugzilla and other Mozilla projects
How is this a "leveraged" investment? With one investment in a server, we were able to provide a resource to multiple members in the community.
Does this idea help advance the core mission of Mozilla? It provides a resource that allows our contributors to continue to develop Bugzilla, one of a few resources that the Mozilla community uses to report, communicate and track bugs to our projects.
Other issues: The initial server provided more than enough space and process capabilities to help the Bugzilla community. With left over space on the server, we are now able to allocate a portion of the remaining Landfill system to other highly-leverage projects. (i.e. web development community)
