Nightly is the latest code from mozilla-central, packaged up every night for bleeding-edge testers to install and test

Aurora is a new channel between the nightly builds from mozilla-central and beta versions from mozilla-beta; as such its status is roughly "experimental".

Beta is a new channel between the Aurora builds from mozilla-aurora and the final version from mozilla-release.

Bugs tracked for a specific Firefox release can be easily queried by searching for the flag tracking-firefoxN set to +. For instance, this is the query for bugs tracked for Firefox 11.
