- Close the tree for code freeze at 11:59 PM PST, Tuesday Dec. 4th.

- Code handoff
- Build generates RC
- QA tests RC
- CHECKPOINT (on testing approval)
- Build generates update snippets
- QA tests update snippets

- Website changes put up on www-stage.trunk.mozilla.com
- release notes, whatsnew, firstrun pages
- changes to beta-all download page (w/bouncer links)
- Build pushes to mirrors, configures bouncer
- QA tests mirrors, website changes
- CHECKPOINT (on testing approval)
- Build pushes snippets live
- QA tests live updates
- CHECKPOINT (on testing approval)
- Website changes pushed live
- Release announced
