Introduction

This is a quick & dirty wiki to nail down the look & behavior of Control+Tab for Firefox 3.1. It's going to be more like an email thread than a wiki, with conversations between Dao, Mconnor, and Boriss.

Mconnor's recommendation

When we talked, Mconnor recommended:

• 12 items
• 200px square (assuming rectangular) preview
• "my gut is to just go with 4x3, which will be something like 800x600"

Taking these dimensions literally and going with 200px x 150px (4:3) previews doesn't quite work, as there's no room for 12 previews. In fact, I couldn't really get the 4:3 ratio to work at all for the background, assuming 12 thumbnails go on top of it. Here's literally 800x600:

If we take Mconnor's thoughts and just stretch the background horizontally a bit, I think it can fit a lot better. Here's a quick mockup of this:
