Clippings extension
The Clippings extension helps you quickly paste text you frequently type in forums, and is a great tool for doing user support. Get it here.
Crashes
Go to the address __about:crashes__ and tell us your latest crash IDs. We can then look at the data specific to your crash and have a better idea of what is causing the problem.
Safe mode
If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see ((Safe Mode)).
Test profile
Your Firefox settings and info are kept in a folder separate from the Firefox program, called your profile folder. Try creating a test profile, to see if the problem still occurs. See ((Managing profiles))
Probably an extension
Extensions can sometimes be the cause of problems. If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode, then you can disable your extensions one-by-one until you find out which one is causing the problem. See ((Troubleshooting extensions and themes))
Try clearing cache and cookies
Try clearing your cache and cookies.
- Open the {MENU()}Tools{MENU} menu, then select {MENU()}Clear Recent History...{MENU}.
- In the __Time Range to clear:__ drop-down, select __Everything__.
- Click the arrow next to __Details__ to display the list of items that can be cleared.
- Select both __Cookies__ and __Cache__.
- Click {DIV(class=button,type=>span)}Clear Now{DIV}.
