--Brong (talk) 11:10. 23 September 2014 (AEST) Lightning is one of the few remaining CalDAV clients that don't do autodiscovery. Having the setup wizard check for the DNS records for CalDAV at the same time as IMAP/SMTP and offer the option to add calendars would make the user experience a lot nicer. I can help with the protocol side of things, but I have no UI experience.

--Cronoik (talk) 05:58, 9 August 2014 (PDT) I think it is a good idea to integrate lightning into thunderbird. I have never seen somebody using thunderbird without lightning. With this integration it is also possible to clean the user interface a little bit. No separation between tasks and calendar would be needed anymore. Tasks could be a category of the "new Event" dialog.
