Wake up! While you are requesting Vista Aero features, you don't realize that those damned Redmond programmers work towards a single goal : that, eventually, you won't even be able to simply INSTALL, or even RUN, a non Microsoft software, (like Firefox) on a microsoft controlled PC!!!!! | Wake up! : | :If Microsoft didn't want third-party programs running on their OS, Microsoft would have wrote its OS to block off such programs long ago. Microsoft would also not be offering to help make Firefox compatible with Vista. Think before you speak. --Armaetin 00:30, 7 January 2007 (PST)
==Delete from URL autocomplete==
Some pepole, such as myself, navigate quite a lot by typing URLs directly into the URL bar. To survive in this way the autocomplete feature, suggesting URLs you have previously visited is extremely helpful: One types a little bit of the URL and then just hits enter. However, if at some point one makes a mistake and types an incorrect URL, that URL will also be in the history. It would be very convenient to have a means to *delete* URL from this history. For example, if I type part of a URL, and three completions are suggested, I could right click on the one I want to delete, and get a menu allowing it.
*Not needed. Pressing Delete on the keyboard already does this. --Armaetin 13:29, 14 January 2007 (PST)
** I don't think that is true. To be clear, I was hoping that the URL could be *permanently* removed from the suggested completions of the URL. It is not clear to me what pressing delete actually does, but the bad URL remains suggested afterwards. -- 15 January 2007 (PST)
***Delete didn't work? Huh, it works for me. Try Shift+Delete. If that doesn't work either, you can open Firefox's history via the sidebar and delete the entries manually. --Armaetin 14:14, 15 January 2007 (PST)
**** Shift delete does work. I suppose this still might be considered for ease of use. Anyway, Thank you! 15 January 2007
*****No problem; always glad to help. And, yes, it would be nice if we could delete using right-click. I think that should be optional and on by default. --Armaetin 23:34, 15 January 2007 (PST) |
