Session Notes

  • Want to tighten feedback loop for developers
  • Want to minimize number of different harnesses
    • make it easier for developers to desk check work using simple tests
    • what harnesses exist and already have buy-in?
      • NSS - features:
        • easy to add tests
        • incremental: early tests builds certificates (e.g.) that are used by later tests
        • output controlled by macros. New macros could be used to output to (e.g.) XML/Litmus
    • who is writing a lot of tests?
      • boris zbarsky
      • nelson bolyard(sp?)
  • automated UI testing is hard...let's go shopping (for testing tools).
