Bugzilla Meetings

When and where?

We meet twice per month. Our second IRC meeting will take place on Tuesday, Feb 14, 2006 at 19:00 GMT (11:00 PST) in the #bugzilla-meeting channel.

After each meeting, a brief summary is available on this page.

Who can attend?

Everyone interested in being actively involved in the Bugzilla development for 3.0. joel, Wurblzap, justdave, timeless, wicked, myk, Colin, mkanat, LpSolit and gandalf will be there. Feel free to join us (no support question will be discussed there though, use the usual #mozwebtools channel for that).

What will be discussed during our second meeting (agenda)?

  • Feedback from the 2.20.1 and 2.22 RC1 releases. Regressions reported?
  • Do we need a second release candidate for 2.22? Expected date for 2.22 RC2/final.
  • Security bugs for 2.16. Will Debian work on them? If not, probably 2.16.11 was the last release for the 2.16 branch. (-> justdave)
  • What do we want to do with the long review queue with no requestee? Some pending reviews are there for more than 3 years. Does it mean we should wontfix them?
  • How are the first tasks of the roadmap going (removing versioncache, globals.pl and deprecated SQL routines)? (-> mkanat, wicked)
  • What other tests could be useful (besides Param() and Throw*Error() ones)? (-> dmelentyev)
  • What is the priority of performance issues for 3.0?
  • Looks like summarize_time.cgi could be highly improved and be "much more useful". Unfortunately, travis is gone and this script is left alone, but it seems that some people really need it. What's the future of this script?
  • What backwards-compatibility code can we remove in 3.0?
  • Suggestions and questions developers may have.
  • (more will come these following days...)
