Camp Location

Skopje, capital of Macedonia

There are a couple of hotels in the center of the city.

Gorjan should investigate this. We need a brief hotels description, in terms of conf room size, spare beds at given time, location...

Conference rooms in hotels in Skopje can be quite expensive, and would attribute a too formal note on the whole event, the University should give a more informal and yet creative and open event.

Ohrid, Lake Ohrid, Macedonia.

Gorjan: Igor, we agreed with the others that Ohrid is not a perfect solution and is off the table. I thought Damjan informed you of this decision.

A lot of hotels are available, April till June is the conference season so we can get good package prices for conference rooms and accommodation depending on the number of people attending.

We should see if we can also book a mini-bus or some kind of transportation to bring people from Skopje to Ohrid. Its a 2 hour drive, buses run every hour if we take public transport. But we should still organize the transport from the bus station in Ohrid to the hotel.

Hotels are equipped with broadband internet, wifi and a beamer. Free Software Macedonia also has a beamer that can be used.

Schedule

The Schedule is currently being prepared. If you have any questions about it,
please contact one of the members of the programme committee (we need one)

What does this mean?

We will probably need 2 key notes from people involved at Mozilla, some community and technology evangelism. Localization and developer tracks as well.

  • Keynotes - Mozilla
  • Community Talks
  • L10n Tracks
  • Marketing
  • Drumbeat (Kerim)

An hour of lightning talks will come in handy ;)

Maybe we can launch call 4 papers (Bogo)

Hm.. This will be too much strain on the organizers, to accept, review and select the papers. And it is already to late to launch the call 2 months before the event. Maybe a wiki page were people will state what they know and can share, and what they want to learn and discover on the camp.

Fun

Jovanovski: I had the idea of doing some sort of tattoo beach party Saturday night at a beach club, because we have I had a bunch of tattoos left.

Budget

Jovanovski: Give me the green light, and I'll look up hotels, prices, do bargains for massive booking and so on.
