TODO
- Figure out music/sounds to use
- Figure out cut-scene times and places to pause
- Get list of names for people who will be at keynote
- Get graphics, logos, web pages, other content for people who are coming to summit to use as textures.
- Get list of graphic assets we want created by Mozilla Graphic Designers
- Figure out ways for Corban's texture artist friend to get involved
- Build some audio visualizations and generative audio to present during city flight
- Get lots of video of summit/mozilla to use as textures
Ideas
- Flickr photo montage - Floating blimp with plethora of video screens and tickers streaming Flickr photos (Webworkers?)
- Twitter feed for hashtag #moz10
- Planet sequence -- ship flies off planet, into space. Turns around to see the earth, earth goes "super nova" and turns into Firefox logo.
- Starfield credits sequence -- long, using names of people who worked on demo, plus people who built Firefox at summit - possibly use CSS3 for text?
- Introduction: start by exiting a large ship?
Storyboard Component Overview
The storyboard will consist of the overworld scene and end with the finale, the arrangement and selection of sub-scenes to cut to from the overworld with specific events occuring is TBD; Ideas will be upgraded to storyboard components as we discuss and accept them as desired and viable.
- Overworld - Demo overall theme will be composed of a primary set of sequences where we arrive at and traverse various areas of a "meta" city -- representative of all the various aspects of the web and firefox integrating together.
- Twitter - Scene with a set of buildings that can specifically promote twitter feeds.
- VisBuilding - Scene with buildings rigged with visualizer components to react to the music.
- Finale - The finale will involve leaving the city / planet at a high rate of speed and reveal we were visiting a 'Firefox' planet.
Back-end (technical) Component Overview
- Audio engine for queueing and playing various tracks with the possibility of mixing in our own Audio-API controlled outputs such as filtering/effects
- Method to control the activity of Processing.js scripts and video tags to ensure proper synchronization with the overworld and sub-scenes
- Twitter or other feed buffering / queuing to make available when needed - Webworkers?
