Feeds:

  • Django native cache; headers get picked up by Zeus and it doesn't hit the webhead.

L10n:

  • Fred marked them as localizable and need to put them in verbatim. Will need strings separated for mobile pages.

Clusters:

  • Aakash: Get a review from Chris Howse
  • Warning Thing
  • Doing a happy/sad report by version. It's a week's worth of data.
  • Would rather prefer a week's worth of data because it's more useful and data won't get too large if we work on 3 week beta cycles.

Scheduling:

  • 7/28: Searches with Feeds, L10n of Webpages, Translation Link and Clusters Beta
  • String Freeze: 7/19
  • Code Complete 7/21
  • QA until 7/28

Things we did well?

  • Fred: requirements were very clear, mock-ups helped; execution was very much on-time;
  • Aakash: pretty much what fred said; fred's coding was beast-like in its intensity; we got help from everyone we asked

Things we didn't do well?

  • Fred: background changes a day before we launched; timeline was very short;
  • Aakash: https stuff; blogposts were confusing since beta was not out yet to use the pages; VPN set-up 1 week after requested by fred

Things that are important to work on for next rev?

  • get an idea about what marketing might want from Input early on
  • When going live, Input needs an apache reload

Overall

  • things were very good considering the timeline
