The following is a list of things to be done to prepare for your event.

Help
- Wiki page
- The purpose of the wiki page is to act as an archive for the testday
- Create the wiki page using the template
- It should live at a URL using the timestamp -- example:
- wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Test_Days/20110325
- Etherpad test plan
- The purpose of the test plan is to serve as a set of instructions and as a way to track contributor progress
- Create the etherpad using the template
- It should live at a URL using the timestamp and topic -- expample:
- etherpad.mozilla.com:9000/testday-110325-mozmill
- TIP: use the Save Revisions feature to prevent losing work due to overwrites
- QMO event page
- Create a post on QMO using the template
- Mailing list
- Create a post to the mailing lists using the template
- Reply to your threads the day before the event to remind people
- Highlight the event timings with a link to the QMO event
- MozillaZine post
- Create a post on Mozillazine forums choosing the forum most appropriate to your activity
- Firefox events should be posted to Firefox General
- Simply copy the same message posted to the mailing lists
- Twitter post
- Post a tweet using the following template:
- @MozillaQA is testing <something>. Come help us make Firefox better!

- Newsletter
- Simply forward the mailing list post to Mary Colvig and ask for the event to be added to the about:mozilla newsletter
- All-hands
- Add a note to the Upcoming Events section for the next week's Weekly Updates
Event Page
The following is a list of things to include on your event page.
- Title should clearly and concisely spell out the activity
- Open with some context to why the event is needed
- Provide a call to action: We need your help with <some activity>
- Emphasize a need for the help and that contributions make Firefox better
- Indicate how the specific activity improves the quality of Firefox
- List tasks to be performed during the event; include links to any bugs and tests you want the testers to help with
- Provide a link to the builds
- Provide a link to the IRC channel
- End with an emphasis that people from all walks of life and experience can contribute; that we will be there to help and teach
- Set the event date and time
- Set the category to Events, QMO News, Syndicated and the team the event is specific to
- Set a tag of "mozilla" and "qa"
- Be sure to save draft and preview before publishing
