Actors

  • Participants
  • Event Organizers
  • Project Leads
  • Drumbeat Staff

Participants

  • Copy page - What are Drumbeat events?
  • Discovery - How do participants find out about events?
 * Opt-in email notifications?
 * Search for events
   * Date, location, topic
 * Browse
   * High level, map, calendar, etc
 * Surface to Dashboard
  • Event pages
 * Unique URLs
 * Contact hooks for event organizer (signed in and anonymous users)
 * Report back functionality (I went there, here are photos, etc)
 * Promote event "Tweet", "Share on FB", etc
  • "I attended" badge or event list on profiles

Project Leads

  • Project event kits (some way to host them)
  • Project leads can be event organizers
  • Link to / promote assets (slides, etc)
  • Some way to indicate production "asks" (thinks I need people to do)
  • View project specific activity across multiple events.

Event Organizers

  • Copy page - What is organizing an event like?
  • Big action ask on page - "Organize / Host an event" (verbage tbd)
  • Simple form with a lot of autocomplete fields:
 * Title
 * Date
 * Location
 * Goals
 * Description (Free form text area)
  • As few required fields as possible. Allow anonymous users to create events, then log in / sign up before it's published.
  • Try to obtain as much social data as possible (hashtag, fb event page, etc). Hope to use that info to automate some aggregation and metrics gathering.
  • Offload registration (meetup, eventbrite, etc).
  • Helper text pointing people to a beautified version of event kit
  • Rich media support (photos, videos, etc)
  • Event series (is this part of a series of events)

Metrics

  • # of people attending
  • specific user stories
  • # of tasks completed per event, per project over time
