Releases/Firefox 10/Final Signoffs

This page will track declaring the latest mozilla-beta build as the final in this cycle and starting the build off of the mozilla-release repository.

Please note that issues found in the final moments of the beta period may still require us to rebuild before release

Focus Areas

Tracking Details

Still pursuing a fix for:

• bug 711564 - still considering mitigation (through a pref) for FF10 plugin crashes on 10.5, could help users through SUMO and/or an add-on hotfix if deemed necessary
• bug 694243 - frequent small hangs for some Firefox users

Of concern, but no further action at this time:

• bug 718389 - beta 4 startup crasher for Windows

To note for the release:

• bug 716945 - reported hang volume will be lower than normal in FF10, but should still be proportional
• bug 690287 – Tracking bug for UA sniffers

Stability

Outstanding Issues/Concerns

• Have we checked with anti-virus vendors re: compatibility?
• Concerned that we might get the Comcast Constant Guard crash with 10 - have reached out to WhiteSky.
  • They will ship a FF 10 compat version

QA

Outstanding Issues/Concerns - Desktop

• chase.com issue reported on nightly testers. Need to see if it reproduces on Firefox 10 Windows. Haven't been able to reproduce on Mac FF 10.b6.

Current Status - Mobile

• No major issues - on track to sign-off 10.0 (beta 6, build-candidate 1) by target
