Overview

Members of the ReMo provisional council will meet in Athens for 3 days of discussions and brainstorms to plan for phase 2 of the Mozilla Reps program and define a roadmap for the next 6 months. Strengthening the ReMo mentorship base, nominating a new ReMo council and implementing a council election system will be on top of the agenda.

Administration

  • warm-up activities for Reps during probation period
  • SIGs, Collectives and Stewards
  • SOP status update - which ones need to the most urgent attention
  • future of provisional council (rotation every 6 months if voting system not yet implemented?)
  • brainstorm for website admin features --> create a feature request list
  • Student Reps - how can we best integrate Student Reps into ReMo? (discuss RSCs, Student SIG, swag policy etc..)
  • Knowledge transfer to the next ReMo Council (Lessons learned, training phase?)

Outreach

  • Interviews of council members (30 second clip)
  • content and format of weekly updates to be sent on reps-general and reps-webdev mailing lists

Events

  • Rep training workshops (video tutorials and physical training wessions)
  • ReMo regional summits?
  • Participation of council members in community events. Necessary?
  • Could ReMo participate in Mozilla's All Hands and Brown bags meeting (remotely)

Swag

  • Do we need a common «business card» for ReMo?
  • Local Swag production?

WebDev

  • Progress of Mozillians (phonebook) and how this overlaps with ReMo
  • ReMo specific add-ons
  • voting system
  • how can we improve existing forms (application/budget/swag) etc...

Monitoring

  • Monitoring Reps: One idea ... a feedback form where other community members can write comments about Reps
  • how can we best monitor progress without spamming Mozilla reps

Rewards

  • rewards (karma points?) --> when you reach a certain level of points you get a cool prize? dangers of doing that?
  • Mozilla Rep of the week/month? (ie. weekly or monthly highlight of outstanding reps?)

  • 10:30 - 11:30 Individual SWOT analysis by each council member (5 min presentations max) (presentation template to be distributed shorty)
  • 11:30 - 12:30 Follow-up discussion: what's working? what's not working? ways to improve moving forward?
  • 12:30 - 13:30 Lunch
  • 13:30 - 15:30 ReMo video shoot (unleash the director/actor in you!)
  • 15:30 - 16:30 ReMo Add-ons brainstorm
  • 16:30 - 17:00 Contributor Engagement update by Mary Colvig + Q&A (Skype Video)
  • 17:00 - 17:30 Stewards update by David Boswell + Q&A (Skype video)

Hotel

Food

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be organized and paid for by Mozilla from the evening of July 8th to the evening of July 10th. Free snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the work week.

Pierros will send an email a few days before the work week to tell you where and at what time to meet for an informal prep-dinner on Thursday evening. NB: if you have special requests in terms of food, contact Pierros or William!
